I’m really interested in public transportations as I think it is fascinating, and it is a very important innovation in our society! It is a tool that connects many people together, bringing them to places they need to get to at a lower cost than owning and maintaining a car. As many know, the cost of purchasing a car, and the maintenance fee, the insurance, gas and other fees are very costly. Hence having a cheap alternative for traveling is a great invention! But I’m also interested in public health as I do think public health is more important than any other service as it helps keep our communities and oneself healthy and safe from infections. As we can learn from history, cleanliness keeps people surviving from the spread of diseases.

As from today’s class, I think it is very informative and I’m really grateful that our professors are bringing in 13 different professionals who are experts in different fields. Mr. Bowles explained detailed problems in the affordable housing areas which is very interesting. I never knew that homeless people with mental issues were being kept in jail. I’m wondering if our government could have built or put them in a nursing home with skilled mental health professionals to help them instead of putting them in jail if they didn’t commit any crimes? And I do think building houses on top of a library is a very cool idea! Book lovers would definitely live in those houses as the library is just a few steps away and also children who live in the community or on top of the library would more easily develop the love of reading!
